What's a Bridgestone Eurasia?

There's no mention of a Bridgestone Eurasia on Sheldon Brown's website, and nothing about it in any of the old Bridgestone catalogs I've seen. Regardless, the Bike Works community bike shop has one in stock, for sale, refurbished, and looking like the perfect bike for a bike tourist or commuter who needs a 55 or 56cm frame.

The decals on this bike suggest it was made for the Asian market, sold at a shop in Asia, licensed in a city over on that side of the Pacific, and then brought over to the US.

The bike is a Chromoly frame, has full aluminum fenders installed, Shimano bar-end shifters, and the ever-popular but increasingly difficult to find Avocet Spenco Gel saddle. It's a 21-speed, with a triple up front and a Dura-Ace 7-speed freewheel in the rear.
