Bikes like this 1993 Bridgestone RB-1 don't come along often. This bike was donated to Bike Works and has since been carefully refurbished to original yellow splendor. It's for for sale in the shop, with the proceeds of course benefiting our youth programs.
It's a 57.5 cm frame (seat tube center-to-center), with a 57.5 cm top tube (c-c). It boasts the highly prized Ishiwata Extreme Chromoly tubing, and its lugged construction is of unsurpassed detail and beauty. In 1993, Bridgestone offered the RB-1 either in yellow with the new 8-speed STI shifting, or in red with 7-speed bar-end shifters. This is the yellow version with a full 6400 Shimano 600EX Ultegra gruppo. It has the original hubs, derailleurs, crankset and brake/shift-levers.Our shop staff refurbished the bike with a new bottom bracket, headset, stem, chain, cassette,
and saddle. We also rebuilt the wheels with the original hubs, with Mavic 32h Open Pro rims and DT Competition spokes.In short, we've put some love into this rare and highly sought-after bike and it's once again ready for the high-performance riding or high-demand commuting.
Since we've put a fair bit of work into this bike, and since its a gem amongst bike collectors and those who value the very best in bicycle design, we've placed a $750 price tag on the bike. Come check it out!
